w/r/t

So I learned (while reading The Apprentice recap column) that "w/r/t" means "with reference/respect to" and allegedly originated from David Foster Wallace who wrote a really funny essay called A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again.

If anyone knows whether the collection of essays is as funny as that excerpt, let me know so I can get the book.

Anagrams!

Apparently the new rage is anagrams of rail maps.
The Chicago ones are quite funny. I had no idea that Forest Park Branch could be Frat Backs Her Porn. :)

Oscar moments to watch! (in CST) - For Mike

So besides these things below, I recommend watching any time Jon talks - he has some really funny lines throughout the night. :)

7:01-7:15 p.m. Opening hollywood city thing is stupid but once the host is "introduced" it's good through the end of stewart's monologue. it even includes daily show style clips of old westerns and how they're gay. plus you're gonna love whoopi's line :)

7:20 p.m. George Clooney wins, and his speech is good and liberal. if you're gonna watch one speech, even though you may hate them, watch this.

7:30 p.m. Ben Stiller is kinda funny.

7:35 p.m. Wallace & Gromit wins and the accepting guys are funny and british.

7:38 p.m. Dolly Parton sings song from Transamerica, even though you probably don't care.

8:01 p.m. Best make-up. Steve Carrell & Will Ferrell introduce. They're pretty funny. watch.

8:07 p.m. Rachel Weisz wins. If you wanna see her and Aronofsky hug, you can. she's preggers.

8:23 p.m. Best Actress campaign-ad bit! You must watch them! So funny!

8:25 p.m. March of the Penguins wins best documentary, and they're very very french!

8:47 p.m. Yitzhak Perlman solos through Best Score nominees. If you wanna watch him play the violin it's good.

9:12 p.m. Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin do this Robert Altman intro thing. This may be the funniest thing I've seen in a while. You love both of them so you have to watch! They're going to be in his new movie Prairie Home Companion together. ;)

9:23 p.m. "It’s Hard out Here for a Pimp" is performed. :)

9:26 p.m. "It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp" wins, the camera shows black people, and Jon Stewart makes funny jokes after.

9:30 p.m. Another campaign commercial for sound editing. Pretty funny.

Oldies but goodies:
Bjork!
Beyonce in french!
