Haha I have a new favorite limerick from Wait Wait...
When you order steamed crap here they bring fish
So in Beijing they have their brass ring wish
Clean up foreign words
Till they're less absurd
They're cracking down hard on bad __________

One of my favorite mistranslation tales goes in the other direction. Pepsi was marketing their product and tried to translate the phrase, "Pepsi Brings You New Life!"
Unfortunately, when they tried to translate it into Chinese, the actual literal translation was : "Pepsi Brings Your Dead Ancestors Back From The Grave!"
